KENNETH TELG
Treasurer
I was invited to join the Advisory Board of The Salvation Army in early 2018. Over the years I’ve heard many good things about the work of The Salvation Army but had never personally experienced it. Being recently retired after 44 years in banking, in this community and others, I wanted to become involved in an organization that could truly make a difference, in Bryan/College Station and beyond. I truly believe I have found that in The Salvation Army. I have been impressed in the many areas that The Salvation Army provides outreach, all in a faith-based ministry. Over the years I’ve been involved in at least 25 volunteer opportunities and organizations. I believe each one made a difference in some portion of peoples lives. I have never been involved in an organization like The Salvation Army, which works to not only take care of immediate needs but to change lives. I am impressed, and reminded continuously, of not only the professionalism of our leadership and our staff but of their caring, commitment and compassion. That same level of commitment is shared by each of our Advisory Board members. I feel truly blessed to be a part of this organization and to being a part of making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
