The BCS Salvation Army is pleased to announce that our 14th Annual Doing the Most Good Luncheon will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at the College Station Hilton and Conference Center. We are excited to be honoring Brigadier General Joe T. Ramirez for his long-time support and advocacy of The Salvation Army in our community. Our keynote speaker will be Jordan Walker Ross – Actor, Screenwriter, and Host – who currently plays the role of “Little James” in the Chosen series. A strong proponent for The Salvation Army, Mr. Ross brings a message of hope from his unique perspective that melds his personal struggles with those of his character in the world-famous series.

Introducing Our
Keynote Speaker
Jordan Walker Ross

Jordan is an actor, screenwriter and host who is currently a series regular on the hit TV series, The Chosen (which has over 770 million views and 13 million social media followers after four seasons). He also has a recurring co-star role in Taylor Sheridan’s hit TV show, 1883 - the prequel to Yellowstone. One thing that sets Jordan apart from most other actors, however, is that he happens to have Cerebral Palsy and Scoliosis - as well as a number of other ailments. By the age of 7, he had already undergone half a dozen major surgeries, including a full spinal fusion, and had several near death experiences.

He discovered his love for acting at the age of 6 and spent the vast majority of his career being told no and having casting directors, agents, directors, etc. telling him to “lose the limp”. Jordan also endured vicious bullying throughout high school, leading to suicidal thoughts and extreme depression. However, it was that very limp - the things Jordan was most insecure about - that led him to his most fulfilling and successful role yet - playing Little James on The Chosen.

Now, Jordan is determined to use his platform and audience to reach others who feel isolated, not good enough or different - to let them know that they’re not alone and that they are more than capable of fulfilling their dreams - whatever they may be. When it’s all said and done, Jordan’s goal is to helps others learn to love their “limps” and to use them to their advantage, rather than perceiving them as flaws or weaknesses.
